Moisturizing may be the Most Important Part of Your Skin Care Routine
Your daily cleansing routine is the key to a healthy skin. It is common for people with dry skin to feel the need to moisturize often, however, this isn't true for people with oily or combination skin. If you think that's true then you've been misinformed.
Everyone, no matter what their skin type, needs to moisturize on a daily basis. Moisture refers to the water content your skin has, not the lipid content. Therefore, even oily skin may suffer from dryness.
Moisturize Dry Skin
Moisturizing dry skin may not be as easy as it seems. There are different degrees of dryness. So, first you must determine if you have dry skin or very dry skin as this will determine the type of moisturizing product you will need to use.
If your skin is dry, you will need to use a creamy moisturizer after you cleanse. Once you've discovered which moisturizer you need, you'll need to moisturize at least twice a day. If you feel that your skin becomes taut during the day, reapply moisturizer when needed.
If your skin still feels taut even after having used a creamy moisturizer, it may be time for you to use oil. You can use a mineral oil, body oil or a non-comedogenic edible oil (like olive oil). Don't forget to apply sunscreen if you are going to be outdoors.
An advantage to using oil is that it will absorb more quickly than creams. This is one of the biggest reason they are so effective for people with very dry skin. They can also be better for people with dry, sensitive skin as they contain very little additives.
How to Moisturize Oily Skin Stay away from oil-based products if you have oily skin. Instead, they should try water-based formulas which are light enough to be absorbed quickly without leaving behind pore clogging residue.
Another good habit is that of apply your moisturizer before your skin dries completely. Always keep in mind that skin dryness is about water content not lipid content.
Combination Skin - How to Moisturize
Because combination skin has both dry skin and oily skin, you should look for a product that is specially formulated for this type of skin. Another viable option is to try a moisturizer that is designed for oily skin and reapply it to drier areas. If your skin has more dry patches, choose a moisturizer designed for dry skin and don't apply as much on oilier areas.
It doesn't matter whether you are moisturizing dry skin, oily skin or combination skin, there is a product out there for all types of skin.
By using natural skin care products you can effectively treat dry skin. An effective way is by using products like BIOSKINBALM into your dry skin care because they contain plenty of hydrating, biological components. These ingredients are ideal for dry skin relief and can even be used for sensitive skin without producing redness or irritation.
